Standout girls basketball point guard Clare Tokheim plans to transfer to Omaha Westside this fall for her senior season.

Tokheim, a three-year starter at Omaha Marian, averaged about 12 points per game this past season for the Crusaders, who finished third at the Class A state tournament.

At Westside, Tokheim will be united with first-team Super-State senior center Sarah Nelson. They are teammates on the Omaha Crusaders summer select team.

Earlier this spring, Tokheim's parents filed for a protection order in Douglas County Court against the father of Marian's 6-foot-6 senior all-state center Vicki McIntyre. They accused the elder McIntyre of using inappropriate language to describe their daughter during game videos he shot and of unfairly focusing his camera on their daughter. The case eventually ended up in mediation outside of the judicial system.

Tokheim missed the Nebraska School Activities Association's March 15 deadline to option enroll at another school without penalty. That means she'll be ineligible for varsity play for 90 school days, unless the NSAA Board of Control grants a waiver or the family moves into the Westside district.
