When Jordan Tyrance comes home from three weeks of basketball tournaments across the country, he will likely be going to a new home.

Tyrance, who played on Lincoln Southwest's state football playoff team and on the Silver Hawks' Class A state runner-up basketball team, said he expects to move and be at Lincoln High beginning this fall.

"Things happened last year my mom didn't expect, so we're thinking about transferring to Lincoln High," he said at the Bison-Nebraska all-star basketball team's media day on Tuesday. "It's probably like a 75 percent chance (that we'll move)."

Nebraska School Activities Association rules allow a student to transfer schools within the same district as long as the student's domicile changes.

In the biographical information in the Bison-Nebraska media guide, Southwest coach Duane Baack was listed as his coach and Tyrance wrote, "soon to be Dan Noble," the new Lincoln High coach.

Tyrance, the son of former Nebraska linebacker Patrick Tyrance and NU national champion triple-jumper Renita Robinson, attended Parkview Christian his freshman and sophomore years before transferring to Southwest last year.

Tyrance also competed in track and field, finishing fourth in the triple jump at the state meet last spring.

"It's tough (to transfer). It's something you have to go through to find the best fit for me in my last year," he said. "My mom has thought long and hard about it. I'm good friends with Dylan (Flinn) and Tobin (Reinwald). I know way more people at Lincoln High than at Southwest."

Flinn and Reinwald are on the Bison-Nebraska team with Tryance. Flinn is also the Links' returning quarterback.

"I'm excited that Jordan will be with us. We've had good receivers in the past and it will be fun to throw to him," said Flinn.
