Trev Alberts, a former Nebraska All-American outside linebacker, is in his third season as a college football analyst for ESPN. The 34-year-old Iowa native will share his thoughts on the Huskers each week:
"The days of Nebraska being so much more physically gifted than Kansas are over. Nebraska has to be careful not to let Kansas pick up a lot of confidence.
"Also, in this game, Nebraska's younger players have to understand that there's a different level of intensity. This is a conference game. And you know Kansas is going to come in with all kinds of confidence. Teams aren't scared to death of Nebraska anymore.
"I'd like to see Nebraska's defense play with a greater sense of urgency. It's been a very good defense, don't get me wrong. But it hasn't played with the same urgency as it did last year.
"I'd also like to see the offense go vertical and stretch the defense.
"The bottom line is, this is a Big 12 North foe. If you don't think Kansas is a threat, you're wrong."
