To say the Nebraska soccer team picked up a new scoring threat this week might be an understatement.
Michaella Fulmer, a senior-to-be at O’Hara High School in Kansas City, Mo., has accepted an offer to join the Husker program in 2007.
Fulmer is the all-time girls scoring leader in Missouri. She broke the record with her 168th career goal last month.
Fulmer said she had been set on Nebraska for a long time despite also attracting interest from Missouri and Drake.
In three years of high school soccer, Fulmer scored 55, 60 and 54 goals, respectively.
She’s glad she got the record out of the way as a junior.
“I think it’s good that I broke it this year,” she said.
