Ex-Husker Gordon selected for Texas League all-star game

Former Husker and Lincoln Southeast third baseman Alex Gordon was one of three Wichita Wranglers selected to start in the Texas League All-Star Game on June 20 in Little Rock, Ark.

Gordon is hitting .306 (60-for-196) for the Kansas City Royals’ Class AA team. He has 15 doubles, nine home runs and 27 RBIs this season.

The other Wranglers selected to start in the game were outfielder Billy Butler and catcher Matt Tupman.
