Mike Erickson is this week's Husker Castaway. The Nebraska senior offensive lineman got to sport a stylish bucket hat and pretend he was stranded on an island. On this island, the Omaha native could have company in the form of the listed subjects below. But he could have only one of each. This is Mike's Island.

DVD: "I think I would take ‘Pirates of the Caribbean.' Just because (Johnny Depp) gets stranded on an island, too. And all he has is a bunch of rum to get him through. And it's kind of an islandy-beach movie."

CD: "Probably ‘Motley Crue's Greatest Hits.' I listen to it before each game if I remember to bring it. I'm excited for the university that (drummer) Tommy Lee came out here. It's something different. You wouldn't expect him to come to our town. I haven't got to meet him yet."

Book or magazine: "I don't really have one. Maybe if I could get a subscription to take with me, maybe Huskers Illustrated so I can keep track of the team. They'd drop it off in a crate every month or so. That'd work."

Photo: "Probably of my family and my girlfriend. Probably the one I have on top of my TV."

Video game: "‘Tiger Woods 2005' on Xbox. Football games kind of get old after a while, but with Tiger Woods there's a lot of stuff to do, a lot of stuff to beat, a lot of things to get, a lot of things to buy when you get a lot of money. So you can keep going with it for a while."

Food item: "My mom's enchilada pie. It's tortilla shells, Mexican-spicy meat, whole bunch of cheese, stuff like that, all stacked on top of each other."

Teammate: "Probably Jake (Andersen). The humor wouldn't stop. There'd always be something to talk about, or make fun of, so I wouldn't get bored." (It should be noted that Jake also picked Mike as his island teammate. They shared a hug to celebrate.)

Clothing item: "My red Nebraska shorts and my 1996 Papillion (High School) cut-off T-shirt. I think I wear it every day. I wash it every now and then."

Girl: "If there was no way I could take my girlfriend, it'd be Sandra Bullock."
