Roger Langemeier, Fremont: “I thought the calls were really conservative. I don’t know why we didn’t open it up a little bit more. Seems like we were playing just to stay close instead of to win. I think the future looks bright.”

Bill Miranda, Valencia, Calif.: “We played hard. We were competitive, and that’s a good sign. I was disappointed we didn’t see West Coast offense. A little more running than we wanted. We got a bunch of yards, that’s nice, but it didn’t get us on the scoreboard. I don’t miss a chance to see the Huskers play. I sat in the USC section. Great fans.“

Bob Gaglione, San Diego (USC fan): “It’s an outstanding rivalry, which starts this year again and continues next year in Lincoln. It was an outstanding game today for USC. I thought Nebraska’s fans showed a lot of class and had a good time here in Los Angeles.”
