Top basketball talent from 2 states to play

All-star basketball games for boys and girls from Nebraska and Kansas are set for June 20 at the new Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan. Proceeds of the game will go to the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

Lincoln schools take part in tournaments

There are two Class A pods involving Lincoln schools this weekend. North Star and Southwest are in the Basketball Blizzard, and East is in the New Year Classic.

New Year Classic: Girls — today: East at Fremont, 7 p.m.; Friday: Omaha North at Millard North, 5:30 p.m.; Saturday at Fremont: consolation, 5:30 p.m.; championship, 7:15 p.m.

Basketball Blizzard:  Friday: North Star at Omaha Westside, 5:30 p.m.; Southwest at Papillion-La Vista South, 5:30 p.m.; Saturday at Papillion-La Vista South: consolation, 1 p.m.; championship, 5 p.m.

MUDECAS tourney celebrating 80th year

The 80th annual MUDECAS Basketball Tournament in Beatrice is set for next week.

Girls class A: Monday at City Auditorium — Meridian vs. Johnson-Brock, 3:30 p.m.; Falls City Sacred Heart vs. Diller-Odell, 5:15 p.m.; Freeman vs. Exeter-Milligan, 7 p.m.; Palmyra vs. Johnson County Central, 8:45 p.m. Thursday at City Auditorium — semifinals, 3:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.; Friday at City Auditorium — third-place game, 5:15 p.m.; championship, 8:45 p.m.; Friday at SCC: consolation semifinals, 7 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.
