OMAHA — Police think there’s a connection between two midtown Omaha shootings, one of which was deadly.

One man was killed about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Benson neighborhood. A hit-and-run accident was reported nearby around the same time.

A white SUV had struck several cars in the area. Police found a vehicle matching that description.

A man inside the SUV had been hit by gunfire and was taken to an Omaha hospital, where he was in critical condition.

Police aren’t releasing the name of the victims or any other information about them. No arrests had been made.
