OMAHA — A fund has been established to help an Omaha police officer who was shot during a traffic stop.
Officer Paul Latschar was shot several times last Wednesday. He continues to improve, and was in stable condition on Sunday.
The fund, which is to help his family with expenses, is set up at the Omaha Police Federal Credit Union.
The man accused of shooting Latschar, Corey Allen, is charged with two counts of second-degree attempted murder and several weapons counts. Bond was set at $15 million. His next court date is Oct. 3.
