The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will conduct hunter education apprentice instructor training classes the next two weeks.
Apprentice instructor classes are required for those interested in becoming a volunteer hunter education instructor.
The class for prospective firearm safety instructors will be 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hunter Education Office, 4817 N. 56th St.
A bowhunter education apprentice instructor training class will be 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 13 at the Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium on Nebraska 31 south of Gretna.

Program manager scheduled to speak: Ted LaGrange, wetland program manager for Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, will speak at Wachiska Audubon’s general meeting Thursday.
The program starts at 7 p.m. at the Dick Administration Building of Union College. LaGrange will discuss diversity of wetlands in Nebraska, their value, and the programs and projects that help to conserve them. He also will address the saline wetlands near Lincoln.
The public is invited. Refreshments will be served after the program. For more information, call the Wachiska Audubon office 486-4846.
