Greg Lemon of Lincoln is the new director of the Nebraska Real Estate Commission.

Lemon is president of the Nebraska Tax Research Council who works as a political and government policy consultant. He will begin his new job July 1 and will be paid just over $91,000 a year.

The Real Estate Commission licenses and regulates some 7,400 Nebraska real estate professionals and is self-funded by licensee fees.

Secretary of State John Gale said Tuesday that Lemon brings a wealth of state government and legal experience to the position.
