The parents trying to adopt the boy, Jason and Angela Vesely, may have violated the Nebraska Children's Home Society's rules by failing to disclose Angela's pregnancy.
CENTER — A Knox County District judge will rule soon whether to take a 3-month-old boy from a couple that wants to adopt him.
The Knox County District court clerk says three days of hearings ended Wednesday afternoon, and the judge promised to rule within 24 hours.
The parents trying to adopt the boy, Jason and Angela Vesely, may have violated the Nebraska Children’s Home Society’s rules by failing to disclose Angela’s pregnancy.
The Veselys say they didn’t immediately reveal the pregnancy because they’d been through three earlier miscarriages.
The boy’s 22-year-old biological mother has said she wanted the parents who adopted her son to not have their own biological children.
The boy is living with the Veselys in Verdigre.
