LOS ANGELES — A Nebraska man has sued custom car and bike maker Jesse James, saying the former television host failed to deliver a custom car.

Michael Jones of Omaha filed the suit Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court against James and his company, West Coast Choppers.

The lawsuit says Jones ordered a 1949 Cadillac Sedanette and agreed to pay between $250,000 and $350,000.

Jones says he was told the cost would skyrocket to between $600,000 and $700,000. He says the car was never delivered.

James hosted the cable show “Monster Garage” from 2003 to 2007 and is married to actress Sandra Bullock. Attempts to reach James were unsuccessful.

The suit seeks a return of $422,680 that Jones says he paid James, interest, and punitive damages.
