BELLEVUE - A crowd of hundreds gathered to pay their respects to Bellevue Mayor Ed Babbitt.
They packed Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday to celebrate Babbitt's life and his contributions to his community.
Babbitt died Wednesday, roughly three days after suffering a heart attack or some heart-related problem.
Son Tom Babbitt says his father "nursed the desire to enrich the lives of those around him."
The elder Babbitt left behind a wife, four children and 10 grandchildren.
