OMAHA — An Omaha man who had been charged with raping a fellow student at Omaha South High School has been sentenced to 180 days in jail.
Jonathan Reyes was 18 in 2005 when he was charged with first-degree sexual assault, accused of raping a 17-year-old girl in a school stairwell after school.
On Tuesday, a Douglas County District Court judge sentenced Reyes to 180 days in jail after Reyes pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of misdemeanor sexual assault.
Reyes will serve less than the six months he was given. The judge gave him credit for 51 days he had already served in jail.
