Police make 2nd arrest in American Legion shooting

A 23-year-old Omaha man has been arrested on suspicion of killing a man and wounding four other people outside American Legion Post 30's hall.

OMAHA, Neb. — A 23-year-old Omaha man has been arrested on suspicion of killing a man and wounding four other people outside American Legion Post 30’s hall.

Omaha police say the suspect was picked up Sunday on suspicion of first-degree murder, four counts of first-degree felony assault and a weapons violation. He’s being held by the Douglas County Department of Corrections.

Police have said 25-year-old Victor Henderson of Omaha was killed Nov. 10 in parking lot of the hall. Four others suffered gunshot wounds in the incident. They are: 21-year-old Felicia Bennett, 22-year-old Terrance Edwards, 31-year-old Corey Henderson and 41-year-old Walter Willis.

Authorities have already arrested 21-year-old Jeremy Foster on suspicion of criminal homicide in Henderson’s death.
