Clerks at five stores were cited on suspicion of selling cigarettes to minors during a weekend sting, Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner said Monday.
Attempts to buy cigarettes were made at 28 stores during the operation, he said.
The five county stores at which clerks were cited for selling tobacco to a minor were Shoemakers South in Martell, Jack and Jill's in Hickman, Ampride in Waverly, the Emerald Mini Mart and Kabredlo's near Bennet.
