Nebraska football player Ndamukong Suh has pleaded guilty to negligent driving for swerving and hitting three parked vehicles Nov. 1 to avoid an animal in the road.
Suh pleaded guilty by waiver Monday and paid the $60 fine, plus $48 court costs.
On Nov. 1, he told police he swerved to avoid hitting a cat or dog in the road, according to a police accident report. His 2003 Land Rover struck three vehicles parked along U Street between 30th and 31st streets at about 2:20 a.m.
The crash totaled one of the parked cars and caused about $8,000 damage to each of the other two.
Police estimate the damage to his SUV, owned by his mother, at $10,000.
Suh did not report any injuries.
The officer who reported the crash suspected alcohol was a factor at first, police said, but the 22-year-old tested well below the legal limit for drunken driving.
Suh is a senior defensive tackle and is projected by many as the top pick overall in next April's NFL draft.
