An open house Tuesday will focus on the roadway and streetscape improvement project on South 48th Street between Calvert Street and Pioneers Boulevard.
The open house is from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Shawnee Room at Union College's Ortner Center. The meeting includes a brief presentation at 5:15 p.m., which will be repeated at 6:15 p.m.
The project includes street rehabilitation and water main replacement, as well as a new storm sewer, new street lights, a new traffic signal and streetscape amenities.
Construction is expected to begin next spring.
Those attending will be able to view displays and discuss the project with city representatives. You can also meet project team members, review preliminary plans and offer feedback.
