A group of kids lighting fireworks on playground equipment at Meadow Lane Elementary School, 7200 Vine St., caused $1,000 damage.
Police say it happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday. The fireworks scorched a slide and tiles on the ground, Capt. Doug Srb said.
He said four juveniles were involved. One, a 13-year-old boy, was referred to the Lancaster County Attorney's Office.
