PLATTSMOUTH About 925 people who used absentee ballots in Cass County have been asked to recast their votes or risk not having them count. The ballots lacked the necessary signatures of the election commissioner or a representative.
The mistake was discovered Thursday.
New ballots were sent by overnight mail on Friday with a letter describing the problem.
The ballots must be received by mail or in person to the election office by close of polls Tuesday.
"We want to make sure that everybody has an opportunity to have their vote counted," County Attorney Nathan Cox said.
