A 55-year-old rural Davey woman woke to the sound of someone walking around in her home early Wednesday, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Deputy Bill Jarrett said the burglar ran when the woman screamed from her upstairs bedroom.

Deputies were called to the house near 27th Street and Arbor Road shortly before 4 a.m. and found the front door had been kicked open and an interior steel-and-glass door had been forced open.

There were tire marks down the driveway and down the road, Jarrett said.

Nothing was missing.

A day earlier, the woman reported another burglary at the house. Someone had forced open the garage and stole a Hewlett Packard computer between Saturday and Tuesday.

Jarrett said they have no suspects in either incidents.
