The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and a Kansas City construction company are still investigating an accident that killed a man who used to live in Lincoln.
Ryan Joseph Koelzer fell about 150 feet to his death while working on an addition to the North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Mo., on Nov. 20, said Jim Miller, safety director for J.E. Dunn Construction, which employed Koelzer.
"He was in the process of moving an outrigger beam on the roof when he fell," Miller said.
Miller said on Friday he would not comment further until the company and OSHA finished investigating, which would be in about a week.
Dunn Construction has about 1,300 employees in the Kansas City area, he said. The company's Web site says it is the largest commercial contractor in the city.
Services for Koelzer, who was 27, were Friday afternoon at the First Plymouth Congregational Church, 2000 D St.
