In the streets: The Star City Parade began at 11 a.m. today, going from 10th and O streets to 13th and M streets.  This year’s theme was “Making Spirits Bright.” Story: Holiday tradition marches on

On the court: A day after an uneven performance in the first round of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament, the Huskers stormed through an overmatched Northern Iowa squad. Nebraska had a blistering hitting percentage of .423 in sweeping the Panthers 30-16, 30-16 and 30-14. Jordan Larson led the way with 16 kills, and the team had a mere 13 errors on 104 attacks. In Kansas City: The Husker football team faces the Oklahoma Sooners today at 7 p.m. at Arrowhead Stadium. At stake: the Big 12 title and a trip to the Fiesta Bowl. If NU loses, the team would go to the Cotton Bowl. The game is on ABC (Channels 7 and 8) and on the radio at 1400 AM, 1480 AM, 1110 AM, 98.1 FM and 93.3 FM.
