Incumbent Ken Svoboda and newcomers Robin Eschliman and Dan Marvin took the top three spots in a hotly-contested and often contentious race for city hall on Tuesday night, leaving the Lincoln City Council sharply divided along partisan lines. Voter turnout: On Tuesday, voter turnout was 29.25 percent. Unofficial final results showed 42,242 of the city's 144,371 registered voters cast a ballot. Turnout was higher in the 2003 and 1999 elections, which included a mayoral race.
