Now it’s time to use the mania moola you’ve
been saving to bid on fabulous massive mania auction items.
- Browse through over 100 items up for bid. You may bid on as
many prizes as you like - but you can only win one item. Each bid will
need its own online entry. Indicate your desired prize number on your

- The highest bidder will be declared in numerical
order begining with prize #1. So - if you have the winning bid on prize #1 you will not
be eligible to win any higher numbered prize - even if you
have the highest bid submitted for that item. Bid cautiously
to avoid winning a prize that you do not want. Before submitting your
bid, verify your bid amount, prize number and contact information.
- When bidding for an organization, please include an individual's
contact name and phone number.
- If you choose to decline a prize for any
reason, you will not be eligible to win any other prize.
- Bids may be submitted online at journalstar.com/mania or
first floor lobby of the Journal Star at 926 P Street. The official
entry form is found on page 4 of this special massive auction
insert.
- Bids may be submitted by mail, but we assume
no responsibility for bids received in our offices after
Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 5:00 pm. Illegible or inaccurate bid forms
will be disqualified. Postmarks do not apply. No faxes will

- Winners will be notified beginning Wednesday,
January 10 until all winners are notified. You must include a daytime
phone number where you can be reached. If a winner is not
reached within 24 hours we will award the prize to the next
highest bidder. Do not throw away your money prematurely. The process
of declaring winners takes time. Even if you don't receive a call right away,
you ultimately may end up with the highest bid.
- All winners will be contacted by phone. All winners and winning bids will be listed in the Journal
Star on Wednesday, January 17. Please do not call to ask if
you have won.
- Bid winners will need to be available to bring their money to the Lincoln Journal Star beginning Wednesday, Jan. 10. The bid winner for prizes #1 through #5 must be available on Wednesday, Jan. 10 between 8 a.m. - noon. Appointments for money counting and prize paper work will need to be set when you are notified of a winning bid.
- Actual prizes must be claimed by the winning bidder at the business offering the prize within 15 calendar days or it will be forfeited.
- Winning bidders are asked to provide Millionaire Mania Chips in bundles of $1,000,000 (one million) in like-denominations (paper clipped, stapled, etc.). Any amount not equaling one million dollars must be clearly marked. Money will not be counted and prizes will not be awarded if money is not properly organized.
- Transferring of prizes and determination of value is at the discretion of the retailer. The Lincoln Journal Star is not responsible and offers no warranties regarding the prize. Other restrictions may apply.
- No substitution in prizes will be allowed.
- In case of a tie, a drawing will determine the winner.
- Winners understand their names and photos will be used for online and newspaper promotional purposes.
- Winners are responsible for any applicable state or federal taxes. Please have available your social security number or organization’s federal tax ID number. Prize will not be awarded without the necessary information.
- The Lincoln Journal Star remains the final judge of valid money, money amounts and makes the final determination of all awarded prizes. The Lincoln Journal Star reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this promotion or disqualify individual or group from participation should individuals’ or groups’ conduct or events beyond sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of this game.
- By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to all of the terms and conditions of these rules and agrees to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the contest judges. Attempts to violate these rules will result in disqualification.
- Only official Millionaire Mania Chips printed on newsprint from the Lincoln Journal Star will be accepted.
- You must be at least 19 years of age to play.
- Employees of the Journal Star, Lee Enterprises and newspaper contractors are not eligible. Family members of these individuals living in the same household are not eligible.
