Tell us of Christmas tree disasters
Remember when the cat climbed the Christmas tree and knocked it over? Those are the kind of holiday tales rich in family folklore, and we'd like to hear about them.
Send us your Christmas tree disaster stories, and we may use them in a future story, with some tips on how to avoid them in the future. E-mail them by Nov. 22 to kmoore@journalstar.com and send pictures if you captured the disaster on film.
Show to combine magic, comedy
The magic and comedy of Justin Kredible, "Like a magician, but cooler," will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Nebraska Union Ballroom, 14th and R streets.
The program is sponsored by the University Program Council of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. It's free for UNL students with an N-Card and $3 for the public, faculty and staff.

Astrology talk is Thursday night
Star City Astrology will presents "Star*Talk" from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Meadowlark Coffee & Espresso, 1624 South Street.
