Libraries, bookstores set to host events
Barnes & Noble, 5150 O St., will kick off its Holiday Book
drive with a pajama party storytime from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday night.
Kids are invited to wear their pajamas, hear a story, make a craft
and visit with Curious George. The Holiday Book Drive is a benefit
for Headstart/ExCITE of Lincoln.
On Monday, Indigo Bridge Bookstore, 701 P St., will celebrate
the new Ivy and Bean book, "Doomed to Dance," with a party from 5
to 6 p.m. There will be games, snacks and a chance to talk about
this series of books about friendship and diversity.
"Rock the Auditorium" - a Rock Band Wii event - will be held 4
to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bennett Martin Public Library, 136 S. 14th
St. The event is open to students in sixth through 12th grades. It
is sponsored by the Bennett Martin Public Library Teen Advisory
Board.
