SouthPointe Pavilions’ 2006 Friday Night Live series started Friday, June 2, in SouthPointe’s center courtyard with a performance by R&B-reggae-hip-hop group D’Funk.

The series runs through Sept. 1. Each month donations will be collected for a different organization.

June 2's concert was to begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $1 to benefit the Child Advocacy Center. Those attending are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
