Also: "Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" is a new release this week.
- “Step Brothers” (R): Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly play middle-age man-children who move in under the same roof after their single parents get married. Step-sibling rivalry ensues. It’s all aggressively juvenile and insanely stupid, but it’s also, I think, the funniest movie of the year. Grade: A
- “Wanted” (R): Based on Mark Millar’s popular comic book, this action-adventure is about as rip-roaring as it gets. James McAvoy plays a geeky office drone prone to panic attacks who finds out he’s got the supersenses to be a superdupersecretagent. Angelina Jolie’s his trainer. Grade: B+
- “The X Files: I Want to Believe” (PG-13): Ten years after their first cinematic outing, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return as agents Mulder and Scully, and, yes, they’re still looking for that ever-elusive “the truth,” which reportedly is still out there.
- “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” (PG): The second screen installment of C.S. Lewis’ beloved fantasy finds the Pevensie kids back in Narnia, ready to fight another epic battle in the name of good.
