Tuesday marks the 40th anniversary of "Sesame Street," the landmark children's show that teaches about letters, numbers and even tolerance, empathy and life skills in more than 140 countries. And who else could've made Oscar the Grouch, Big Bird and Elmo into international stars?

We're looking for your favorite memories of the beloved show for a story on the anniversary. Who are your favorite characters? Your favorite skits? Songs? Tell us about them in an e-mail to features@journalstar.com, and put "Sesame Street" in the subject line. We also need your name and city. Please send your memories Thursday.
