Credit Management Services, Inc. announced the opening of a new office at 8055 O St. on Monday.

Credit Management Services, Inc. is a Grand Island, account recovery company that specializes in health care, bank and retail receivables. 

The Lincoln office primarily will be a call center for the company with plans to expand it into a full-service office similar to their Grand Island location, the company said.     The full-service office would include a broader range of work, including legal services, sales and accounting. 

Initially,  the company anticipates hiring 14 full-time employees and plans to have a staff of 25 to 30 full-time employees within the first year, according to Kevin Fries, recruiting coordinator. 

He said the company expects to tap local colleges to help staff a part-time crew within the first year. 

“We feel the expansion into the Lincoln market is a great opportunity for our company,” said Jason Morledge, senior vice president.   “Not only does it allow us to serve our clients in Eastern Nebraska better, but it also allows us to tap into a new labor pool and further develop our employment base.”Established in 1926, the company said it is a regional agency with over 1,700 clients across the Midwest including over half the hospitals in Nebraska. 

The company has hired Ben Copple to be the Lincoln operations manager. He is a native of Grand Island and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1999.

The company said it employs more than 140 people in Grand Island and Kearney.
