BEATRICE, Neb. — A Nebraska native has been hired as editor of the Beatrice Daily Sun, a Lee Enterprises newspaper. Patrick Ethridge took over on Monday.
He had been assistant managing editor of the Kokomo (Ind.) Tribune, a Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc., daily of about 22,000 circulation.
Lee says the Daily Sun has a circulation of nearly 7,600. Lee’s other Nebraska dailies are the Columbus Telegram, Fremont Tribune and Lincoln Journal-Star.
Ethridge also has been a managing editor, sports editor and news reporter at newspapers in Kentucky, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska.
He replaces Harold Campbell, who resigned to take a position at the Chanute (Kan.) Tribune.
