Police searching for armed robbery suspect
By the Lincoln Journal Star
Lincoln police are investigating an armed robbery at a Lincoln comic book store Monday night.
Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs said that police were dispatched to Comic World, 233 N. 48th St., at 9:11 p.m.
There, a man carrying a handgun ordered a clerk to empty the cash register. Then he ordered employees into a backroom while he fled in an unknown direction, Beggs said.
He said police were looking for a black man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, medium build. The suspect has short hair, a mustache and was wearing a black leather jacket at the time of the robbery.
Nobody at the store was hurt during the robbery, Beggs said. Police continued to search the area Monday night.
