Brothers arrested after fight at holiday party
By the Lincoln Journal Star
Two brothers have been cited and arrested for their suspected involvement in a holiday party that got out of control last month.
On Dec. 20, Chauncey Marshall, 24, 4918 Madison Ave., No. 1, was cited and released on suspicion of third-degree assault, said Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood.
Marshall’s brother, Miles Marshall, 22, a transient, was arrested and jailed on Tuesday on suspicion of felony second-degree assault, Flood said.

The Dec. 13 party at G P Customs, 116 S. 16th St., was for employees but had an open invitation; more than 100 people were in the business.
About 1:15 a.m., a Lincoln police officer saw several people stumble out of the business and begin to fight. The officer learned there were several other fights going on inside the business, Flood said.
One man’s finger was nearly severed after somebody bit it. Another man needed stitches to close wounds on his head, and another man needed staples to close his head wounds, according to Flood.
The business owner, Jorge Valdez, 29, and the manager, Richard Haney, 21, were cited on suspicion of maintaining a disorderly house.
Witnesses told police one fight started when Chauncey Marshall accidentally bumped into a 21-year-old man, knocking him to the ground, Flood said.
A 25-year-old man told Chauncey Marshall not to push his friend, and Chauncey Marshall and the 25-year-old began to push one another back and forth, Flood said.
Miles Marshall jumped in, wrestling the 25-year-old to the ground and hitting him in the head with a bottle and a flask, Flood said. The 25-year-old needed staples to close two lacerations.
