BROKEN BOW — The founder of the popular Comstock music festivals has been convicted of writing bad checks to vendors of last summer’s events.
Henry Nuxoll pleaded no contest on Thursday in a deal with prosecutors in Custer County District Court.
As part of the agreement, Nuxoll agreed to pay nearly $100,000 in restitution. Sentencing is set for next month.
Nuxoll founded the festivals near Comstock in 2000. They pulled in thousands of people over the years.
