A Beatrice man and woman were trapped in their car Wednesday morning after it rolled on an icy roadway.

A 1999 Chrysler Town & Country was driving north on U.S. 77 just south of the West Nebraska 41 junction around 6:20 a.m. when it lost control going around a curve, according to the Gage County Sheriff’s Office. The car rolled, ending up on its top in the east ditch facing south.

The driver Robin Hutchinson, 48, was lying in the vehicle, and the front-seat passenger, William Hutchinson, 42, was still held up by his seat belt.  Both were removed from the car with the help of several fire and rescue personnel and a responding deputy.  They were taken to a Lincoln hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
