Meth-dealing Lincoln couple sentenced
By the Lincoln Journal Star
A Lincoln couple was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine in the city over a two-year period.
Lloyd Steven Brown, 55, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. His wife, Kim Brown, 52, was sentenced to 46 months in prison.
The couple conspired to distribute 500 grams to 1.5 kilograms of a substance containing meth between Jan. 1, 2006, and Jan. 15, 2008, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney Joe Stecher. The Browns pleaded guilty to the charges on Sept. 15.
According to the release, Kim Brown originally faced a prison sentence of at least 10 years, but she qualified for a lesser sentence because she did not have a significant criminal history and she aided law enforcement after her arrest.
Two others — William Betts and the Browns’ adult son, John Michael Steven Brown — were previously sentenced to 135 months and 121 months, respectively, for their roles in the distribution of the drugs.

Police don't seem to be able to get much done without getting those arrested to roll up on their superiors. It doesn't really do much good to give massive sentences to the low level dealers, because there is always going to be someone to take their place... "

Meth is pure evil. All you supposed weekend warriors and part time users are deluded if you think you are in control.
So, if she helped lock up any more dealers of this filth, than she deserved to get less time. "

Further more she didn't rat out others re-read the story "aided law enforcement" does not mean she ratted anyone out. She didn't fight the charges, did her daily U/A tests (and passed) plus the court said she was a "minor player". That is why she got a lesser sentence.
Know the facts before you state untruthful remarks. "
