Firefighters responded to a house fire early Tuesday.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a fire in the wall at 345 G St. at 2:43 a.m., said Deputy Chief Bruce Sellon.

When firefighters arrived a few minutes later, smoke was coming from the house, but the residents had been able to get outside safely, Sellon said.

Firefighters were able to launch an offensive attack, and the fire appeared to be surrounding a power supply in a wall, Sellon said. The fire may have been electrical in nature.

There was no extensive loss, but the occupants were not able to stay at the home overnight, Sellon said.

" Can someone tell me where the line is forming to thank god, and every religous figure that the fire department did exactly what they were paid to do?

Maybe we could do it while they are rignig bells for the salvation army, but I suggest you check the hot cocoa they are drinking while they are doing it. You would be suprised what spirits you find in the hot bevarage they consume. "
