Stars bounce back at Fargo
By the Lincoln Journal Star
The Lincoln Stars claimed a 4-1 win on Saturday at Fargo.
Kirt Hill had a hand in Lincoln’s first three goals, scoring the first and third and assisting teammate Garrett Vermeersch on the second. A Jake Newton power-play goal gave the Stars a 4-0 lead in the third period before the Force scored short-handed to make up the final margin.
The Stars converted on two of their six power-play opportunites while Fargo went 0-for-4.
Stars goaltender Anthony Borelli had 41 saves to help Lincoln win decisively despite being outshot 42 to 23.
The Stars will return home to face Sioux City on Wednesday.
