A Lincoln man was sentenced in U.S. District Court on Wednesday to five years and 10 months in prison for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine in eastern Nebraska.

Cristobal Camacho, 27, is a resident alien and subject to removal from the United States following completion of his prison sentence.

Members of the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force made several meth purchases from Camacho in May 2007. During that time, confidential informants provided officers with information that Camacho was also dealing cocaine.

" Ok so us taxpayers pay to feed and cloth him and give him shelter the next six years and then deport him? That makes no sense. Just ship him out it is a little less expensive that way "

" He can be out in half that time, so approximately in 3 yrs. We are paying to keep HIS drugs off the streets for that long, (I guess.) Deport him & he will be back before the ink has dried, dealing his drugs same as before! It's a lose-lose situation. "
