OMAHA — Officials say a La Vista police officer who fired his weapon after a pickup truck rammed his cruiser during a drug investigation is recovering from minor injuries.
Officer Greg Carrico was assisting in a traffic stop of the vehicle in Omaha when it rammed the cruiser, disabling it. Officials say Carrico got out of the passenger side of the cruiser, and fired two shots at the pickup after it accelerated toward him.
The suspect fled the scene in the pickup.
The investigation was continuing.
