Escaped inmate arrested after calling wife
By The Associated Press
The Nebraska State Patrol says a 44-year-old inmate who fled the Lincoln Community Corrections Center has been apprehended.
Marvin Brown was arrested Thursday evening at his Lincoln residence and lodged in the Lancaster County Jail. He fled the work-release program Nov. 5, where he was serving time for possession of cocaine with the intent to deliver.
The patrol says they arrested Brown after learning he called his 54-year-old wife Patricia at her work at a state office building. She’s an employee of the Health and Human Services System.
She was cited for aiding and abetting an escapee and harboring a fugitive.
