Police responded to a bomb threat at the State Capitol late Thursday.

Someone called 911 from the area of Cotner and Vine at 11:59 p.m., threatening to blow up the capitol, said Capt. Dennis Duckworth.

No one was inside the building, which was locked, except security officers, said Nebraska State Patrol spokeswoman Deb Collins.

Authorities made a sweep outside the building, then a trooper brought in a bomb-sniffing dog, Collins said. No bomb was found.

“It’s business as usual,” Collins said.
