A 20-year-old Lincoln man was arrested on suspicion of assault after allegedly stabbing a woman with a fork.

Police were called at 12:15 a.m. Thursday to the home of Osvail Brown, 1545 Grace Ave., after he allegedly beat up a 20-year-old woman, said Officer Katie Flood.

After getting into an argument with the woman, Brown allegedly punched her five to six times in the head and face, bit her once on her right shoulder and once on her left buttock, and stabbed her with a fork in her right calf and right thigh, Flood said.

When officers were en route to the home, they saw Brown walking west on Holdrege Street from Grace Street, Flood said. Brown led police on a foot pursuit through some yards and alleys before he returned to his home, locking himself inside with two small children, Flood said.

Police kicked in the door, and Brown was arrested and jailed on suspicion of second-degree domestic assault, Flood said.

The 20-year-old woman refused medical treatment, Flood said.
