Police have arrested a 21-year-old Lincoln man on suspicion of stealing from his relatives.
Officers went to the home of Michael Goettle at 3934 Ballard Ave. on Monday night to talk to him about the alleged Aug. 19 theft from his relatives’ home, said Officer Katie Flood.
Goettle is suspected of stealing a 46-inch plasma TV, a .22-caliber gun, a 12 gauge shotgun, a CD player, an alarm clock, some tables and chairs, a mattress and food, for a total theft loss of $2,534, Flood said.
Police allegedly found the plasma TV at Goettle’s home, Flood said. Police also allegedly found the shotgun under his roommate’s bed.
Goettle was arrested and jailed on suspicion of felony theft, Flood said. His roommate, Lindsey Thomas, 29, is a felon, and she was arrested and jailed on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
