A 21-year-old man told police Tuesday that a man pointed a handgun at him and took his wallet while he was walking in an apartment parking lot.

Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs said the man told police a dark-colored vehicle pulled up beside him as he was walking in the parking lot at 1215 Arapahoe St. around 6 p.m. Tuesday. Two men got out; one of them was holding a dark handgun.

The man was ordered to get down on the ground and give up anything he had. He gave the men a wallet. He was ordered to look down at the ground, or else he would be shot, he told police.

The suspects drove away with the man’s wallet and its contents, valued at about $45, according to a police incident report.
