Country Inn & Suites changes hands
By The Lincoln Journal Star
The Country Inn & Suites at 5353 N. 27th St. has been sold.
New owner Pair-A-Dice Properties, a partnership that lists partners from both Ogallala and Lincoln, paid $6.2 million to buy the hotel from Sand Companies Inc., a Minnesota-based property management company, according to documents filed with the county Register of Deeds office.
Pair-A-Dice Properties also owns the Sleep Inn near the Lincoln Airport, according to county property records.
Representatives of both companies declined to comment about the sale.
According to information on the Sand Web site, the Country Inn & Suites has 95 rooms and an indoor pool, fitness center and conference space for 250.
The hotel also is home to Beacon Hills Grill & Bar, which is separately owned and operated.
Anne McVeigh, one of the owners of Beacon Hills, said the only change for the restaurant is that the new hotel owners become equal partners in the business, just as the previous owners were.
