Cancer clinic opening in west Omaha
By The Associated Press
OMAHA — The Nebraska Medical Center will begin offering outpatient treatment to cancer patients at its new clinic in west Omaha.
The Cancer Center will offer radiation treatment, medical therapies and lab services, among other things.
The center will also feature a survivorship program, which will offer support in dealing with the emotional and physical challenges of overcoming cancer.
Director Ann Yager says the facility, which has healing gardens and private treatment rooms, was designed with patients’ comfort in mind.
UNMC Physicians will see patients at the Cancer Center. The first appointments will be Monday.
